This was purchased for my birthday on July 11th. I was very excited and used it at the gym while doing pull ups, dips, and running. By July 29th, the right side strap ripped from behind. Now I am unable to wear the vest safely and it didn't even last 30 days. The quality of this product leaves quite a bit to be desired at the higher weights.

It wouldn't let me adjust my original review. CAP has since replaced the vest (I have also tried to reinforce the shoulder areas with duct tape) and I am happily using it again. Thank you CAP for handling things so quickly.
I’m writing this review in regards to a vest I recently purchased. From the product description, it was implied that the weights were metal. I was received the product and it was sand bags. I was wondering about the refund/replacement process.

I was initially happy with this vest. I have a CAP 20lb vest that I wore for 2 years plus and decided I needed to increase the weight, so I got a 40lb vest from DSG where I had purchased the 20lb vest. I wore the new vest, with only 30lb, for about 3 months and one day heard a tearing noise. The entire right shoulder was ripped, front and back. I went to Dick's and asked them about replacement, but since I no longer had the receipt, and there was only a 30-day warranty by CAP, they could not refund me. They were able to give me an in-store credit for a partial amount, which I was happy to get. The manager I spoke with said it definitely looked like manufacturing defect, but the product was only warranted for 30 days for such defects. I am back to the 20lb vest for a while until I can find a better product to purchase. Not happy!
So far it’s everything they said it was going to be. Very well packaged
